My Color Renaissance
Working with color feels like a deeply intuitive process for me, almost as if I’m being guided by something greater. I rarely plan which colors to use in advance; instead, I trust the flow and let it unfold naturally as I tattoo. Throughout the process, I focus on understanding what my clients want to express. Is the energy vibrant and explosive? Is it charged with strong emotions, whether positive or negative? Or perhaps it’s calm, balanced, reflective, or commemorative? These conversations allow me to channel their stories and personalities into colors that speak to their emotions and intentions.
I love experimenting with texture and blending, drawing inspiration from both Western and Oriental brush techniques. This fusion allows me to create designs that feel dynamic and alive, reflecting the uniqueness of each client’s journey.
For a time, my color work became highly sought after, but that recognition left me feeling unexpectedly uncertain. I started to experience imposter syndrome, questioning whether I was truly giving my clients my absolute best. At one point, I stopped doing color tattoos altogether for a few years, using that time to reflect and reconnect with my creative process. It wasn’t until around 2023 that I embraced my natural affinity for color once again. That period of rediscovery marked a "color renaissance" for me, reigniting my passion and appreciation for what I can bring to life through color.
